Mary Alice Whitney

Mary Alice Whitney, 65, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, March 3, 2012. She was born December 2, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Uniesee and Lexia Stephens. Mary is survived by one son, Robert Whitney, Jr.; three daughters, Teresa Harrison, Consuelo Whitney and Tina Whitney, all of Jacksonville; one brother, Yancy Stephens; one sister, Janie Murph; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Unisee Stephens Jr., and Stanley Stephens; and three sisters, Linda Decker, Judy Stephens, and Barbara Stephens. Visitation will be Friday, March 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home, Searcy. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 10 at 1 p.m. at Arnold Tabernacle of Kensett. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
