Darrell Ray Lackie

Darrell Ray Lackie passed away March 7, 2012. He was born October 21, 1937 to the late William Richard and Lena Tucker Lackie. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Kathleen Bryan, Daisy Stricklin, and Nora Finch, along with three brothers, Don Lackie, William Lackie, and Harold Lyndle Lackie. Survivors include his children Kelly Annette Waller of Lonoke, Kevin Ray (Barbara) Lackie of Jacksonville, Florida, and Kyle Edward (Sarah) Lackie of Sherwood; grandchildren, Keith Allen Waller, Katie Lynette Waller, Kaylan Rae Lackie, and Keegan Edward Lackie; loving companion Kelly Shawn Mullins of Hot Springs; sisters, Thelma Welch, and Rosa Nan Estell; and a host of nieces and nephews. Ray graduated from Lonoke High in 1955 and the University Of Arkansas School Of Pharmacy 1960. He opened his own pharmacy Lackie Drug Store in 1962. He was a member of the Lonoke Baptist Church. He also was a master Mason and served at the Lonoke Masonic Lodge for fifty years. He enjoyed his dogs, working at the store, horse racing, and spending time with his family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 11 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 12 at Lonoke Baptist Church, with burial following in Lonoke Cemetery. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
