Larry W. Murphree

Larry W. Murphree the son of Anderson and Mary Murphree was born in Greers Ferry, Ark. on Sept. 12, 1947 and passed away at UAMS in Little Rock, Ark. on March 9, 2012 at the atge of 64 years. Larry's religous belief was of the Baptist Faith and he was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Buel Murphree and a niece, Marsha Murphree Olmstead. He is survived by his wife, Georgie Maye Murphree of Greers Ferry; two sons, Ernie Murphree and wife Kari and Austin Murphree both of Greers Ferry; two sisters, Nellie Yount and husband Boyce of Park Hills, Mo. and Lucille Rudrow and husband Max of Witicha, Kan.; and a brother, Sherman Murphree and wife Freida of Greers Ferry. A visitation will be held Monday evening, March 12, at Family Funeral Service, 100 West Searcy Street in Heber Springs, Ark., and funeral services will be at the Lone Star Baptist Church in Greers Ferry on Tuesday, March 13 at 2 p.m. Officiating services will be Bro Rondal Richardson, Bro. Homer Branscum and Bro. Jerry Cothren. Pallbearers will be Bruce Murphree, Feldus Murphree, Walter Murphree, Andy Hunt, Daniel Moody, Ronnie Murphree, Sean Burkheart and Melvin Brownfield.
