Amos Ransom 88, of North Little Rock, Ark. passed away peacefully on March 9, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Morsie Lee Ratliff Ransom; one son, Amos "Sonny" Ransom, Jr.; both parents; four brothers; and seven sisters. He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Vada Ransom; one son, Tony (Mary) Ransom; one sister, Odessa Johnson; three granddaughters, Felicia "Lisa" Mack-King of North Little Rock, Ark., Tammy (Kenneth) Johnson of North Little Rock, Ark., and Edith Parker of North Little Rock, Ark.; one grandson, Amos Ransom III of Little Rock, Ark.; two great-granddaughters, NaQuesha (Kendrick) Cross and Natalya Ransom; three great-grandsons, Trent Johnson, Brent Johnson and Darrius Ransom; one godson, Supt. Rochester Rodgers; and a treasure chest of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Home going services will be on Saturday, March 17, 2012, 11 a.m., at New Bibleway Church Of God In Christ, 1207 West 22nd St., North Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens, NLR. Family visitation will be on Friday, March 16, 2012, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester St., LR (501) 372-1305.
