Mary A. Griffe

Mary A. Griffe, 96, of Cordova, Tennessee went to be with the Lord, Monday, March 12, 2012. She was born in Lonoke, Arkansas November 26, 1915 to Phillip Lee and Hattie McGee Anthony. Mary was a founding member of the Arkansas Women's Rights Organization and worked with Advocates for Battered Women. She was a secretary with the IRS for 25 years. She was the widow of Forrest Dale Griffe. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three brothers, Lee Anthony, Mark Anthony, and Charles Anthony. She is survived by one daughter, Marianne Griffe of Cordova, Tennessee; one grand-daughter, Angela Griffe of Cordova, Tennessee; one sister-in-law, Sarah Anthony and one brother-in-law, Bennie Griffe. Services will be at Roller Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas, (501) 791-7400, on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Reverend Thompson Murray officiating.
