Lou Wade Prince

LOU WADE PRINCE, age 84, of Jacksonville formerly of Arkadelphia, died March 15, 2012, at Springhill Baptist Hospital North Little Rock. She was born Nov. 12, 1927, in Arkadelphia, Ark., the daughter of the late Eulis and Mary Viola Wade. She worked at Hollywood Vasserette in Arkadelphia, Levi Straus in Arkadelphia, was a cook for Glovers Candy and a sales representative for Andrews Candy Kitchen. Lou was adored by many friends and family for her caring and giving spirit. She left an indelible mark with her fighting strength by being one of the kindest, gentlest souls anyone has ever met. We will miss her and the solid ground she provided for her family and friends. Lou may be gone from us, but her memory will live on for many years to come in our hearts and minds. She was a member of New Life Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her ex-husband, Marzel Prince. She is survived by two daughters, Vickie (Steve) Bateman of Hope, Ark., Regina (Jimmy) Collins of Jacksonville, Ark.; step-daughter, Judy Bostain of Arkadelphia, Ark.; three granddaughters, Stephanie and Sara Bateman and Kristin Collins; one grandson, Justin Collins; two brothers, Wendall (Paula) Wade of Arkadelphia, Ark. and Glen (Ann) Wade of Hope, Ark. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 19 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Willingham officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation of Arkansas, 1818 N. Taylor No. 186 Little Rock, Ark. 72207.
