Gene Chisom

Gene "Papa Gene" Chisom, 74, of Vilonia, went to be with the Lord, March 20, 2012. He was born March 10, 1938, in Montgomery, Alabama, to the late William and Carnell Chisom. He was a TV Repairman for DeBorad's Electronics for 49 years, he could fix anything! Gene was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was loved by everyone. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one grandson, Jeremiah Joseph Ellingwood. Gene is survived by his wife of 57 years, Fannie Chisom; three daughters, Sandy Siler (Ronnie) of Vilonia, Kay Ellingwood (Bobby) of Judsonia and Tina Martin ( Ron) of Vilonia; a twin sister, Sybil Larkin of Alexander; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2012, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, in Conway. Gene's funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Centerpoint Freewill Baptist Church, in Vilonia, with Bro. Greig Caswell officiating. Burial will follow in Cypress Valley Cemetery, in Vilonia. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Siler, Stephen Siler, David Siler, Ronnie Martin, Ron Martin and Damien Birkett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Riley Martin, Patrick Nonnemacher, Caleb Nonnemacher, William Ellingwood, Ray Hambreck, and Ronnie Siler Sr. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home-Conway 327-7727.
