Joe Don Corbishley

Joe Don Corbishley, 85, of Austin, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012. He was born December 1, 1926 in Russellville, Arkansas to the late Jesse Corbishley and Sadie Jones Cothren. Joe was a member of the Church of Christ and member of the Carpenter Union Local #690 for 62 years. He loved country music and was an accomplished guitar player, playing and singing country music for over 60 years. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his first wife, Ava Mae Rees Corbishley on March 17, 1988, his second wife, Mary Agnes Wood Corbishley on December 19, 2011, three brothers, Glen, Paul and Raymond Corbishley, and two sisters, Minnie Morgan and Helen Dye. He is survived by his four children, Karen Higgs and her husband, Randy of Conway, Ronnie Corbishley of Austin, Orvil Corbishley and his wife, Debbie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jan Cooper and her husband, Tom of Austin; one sister, Beatrice Stenson of Mabelvale, 11 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren with two more on their way. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2012 in the Chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home with Rev. Tim Kellerman officiating.
