Joel Isaac Harris

JOEL ISAAC HARRIS, 79, of Roland passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012. He was a longtime employee of Pinnacle Mountain State Park. Mr. Harris loved his family, cared about his friends, always had a smile for everyone, enjoyed gardening, loved country music, played guitar, and was known for his "Johnny Cash Voice". Joel was preceded in death by one son, David Orie Harris; his parents, Carl and Ocie Harris; also by two sisters, Lois Fendleman and Carlene Foster. He is survived by his longtime friend and companion, Lorene Tester; three daughters, Christy, Linda and Janet. He is also survived by Elinor Harris, mother of their daughter, Christy; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Harris and other relatives and friends. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel(501)224-8300. Burial will follow at Kennerly Cemetery, Roland, Ark.
