KITTY "MIZ KITTY" LOUISE WAGES LONGSTRETH, 93, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 22, 2012. Kitty was born Aug. 19, 1918 in Verona, Miss. to Ira Lee Wages and Martha Louisa Patton Wages. Kitty and O.D. Longstreth met and married in 1937. They made their home in Little Rock where she was a homemaker and volunteer. Kitty's volunteer service included Bible Study Fellowship, Campus Crusade for Christ-Hospitality, Visiting Senior at Franklin Elementary School, and a founding member of Fellowship Bible Church of Little Rock. Kitty devoted her life to mentoring younger women and young singles in the community and church. She was a prayer warrior dedicated to the Burning Bush prayer ministry at Fellowship and devoted to the young girls at Happy Hands School for the Deaf in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Kitty is survived by daughters, Zonola Volz and Kitty Braswell; son-in-laws, Craig Volz and Troy Braswell, all of Hot Springs Village; five grandchildren, Kitty Braswell Smith of Denver, Colo., Douglas Braswell of Little Rock, Catie Carter Rogan of St. Louis, Mo., David Carter of Sheridan, Wyo., and Troy Braswell Jr., of Little Rock; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.D. Longstreth Jr.; her sisters, Monia Lee Wiseman, Geneva "Bo" Thomann and her brother, Emery Wages. Visitation will be Monday, March 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock. The memorial service will be held at Fellowship Bible Church, 1401 Kirk Road, Little Rock, Tuesday, March 27, at 2 p.m. Memorials may be sent to the Happy Hands Deaf School, Honduras, Attention: Rosie Stephens at Fellowship Bible Church, 1401 Kirk Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72223.
