Alcenia "Jerry" Brust

Alcenia D. "Jerry" Brust, 82, of Benton passed away on March 27, 2012 with her family by her side. She was born on May 5, 1929 to John V. and Ora Dare in North Little Rock, AR. She was the youngest of 11 children. Alcenia joined the Army at the age of 15 and served at Harmon General Hospital in Longview, Texas. After the war she worked at Ft. Roots Veterans Administration Hospital for 27 years. Jerry is preceded in death by her son, Mike A. Barrett, her parents and her siblings. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ed Brust; four children, Barbara Moore, Robert P. Barrett and wife, Sandy, Cathy Goss and E. Sue Fowlkes and husband, John; three granddaughters, Tina Harris, Brandy Zink and Emily Lakemaker; three great-granddaughters and a host of family and friends who all loved her and will miss her dearly. Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your county Human Society.
