Roberta Bearden

Roberta Bearden of El Dorado, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday Oct. 30, 2012 in Maumelle, Ark. at the age of 86. She was born January 6, 1926 in Boyd, Tx. to W.C. & Ioma (Ross) Patterson. She was formerly a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Roberta was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family and raising her children. In her later years, Roberta's greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J.J. Bearden, one brother Ross Patterson, one sister, Mildred Murphy, and one son-in-law, Harold Patterson. Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Sheila Patterson of Maumelle, Ark. and Lisa Furto and husband Gregg of Schererville, Ind.; one son, Michael Bearden and wife Margaret of Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Ralph Patterson of Miami, Fla.; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado. Memorials may be made to B.I.G. Love Cancer Care, P.O.
