Frank Caserta Jr.

Frank Caserta, Jr., 79, of Little Rock, passed away November 4, 2012. He was born in Camden, New Jersey on December 1, 1932 and grew up there. He began his military career as a teenager in the Army 82nd Airborne. Upon re-enlistment, he transferred to the Air Force and trained as a hydraulic technician. In later years, he cross-trained and became an OJT instructor. He served in Korea (Army) and Vietnam (Air Force), earning many medals, including the Bronze Star. After 21 years of service, he relocated to Arkansas and ultimately opened a business, Frank's Marine Service, until civilian retirement. He was a great car enthusiast, having owned, built and raced many over the years. He also enjoyed boating and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Fredonna Caserta; children, Frank Caserta, III (Lisa), Valerie Crancer and Vicki McSwain (Lance); four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of special friends. Special thanks to Dr. and Mrs. Eans and Bonnie Bass for their diligence and kindness over the years; and to the owners, staff and patrons of The Pit Stop. Graveside services with Military Honors will be Wednesday, November 7 at 1 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
