Lillian Marie Tyler

Lillian Marie Tyler, 95, of Conway, passed from this life on November 7, 2012. She was born on September 20, 1917,in Rosebud, AR to the late Charles Wiley and Ellen Haynes Doss Langford. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband James Elbert Tyler of 63 years; three brothers, Danny Langford, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Ovid Langford, of Conway, and Dalton Langford, of Conway; three half brothers and three half sisters. She is survived by her son, Dr. Larry Tyler (Kay) of Oxford, Mississippi, and her daughter, Jan Tyler Martin (Bobby) of Bethany, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Joyce Gibbs and Lindsey Estes of Oxford, Miss., and Tyler, Loren, and Logan Martin of Bethany, Okla.; two sisters, Monta Chole Langford, of Conway and Juanita Robinson, of Alexandria, La.; and five great-grandchildren. Lillian was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene from the time she joined in 1940. She enjoyed and made the activities in the church her life. Lillian was a person of prayer and served on numerous church committees and sang in the choir for 41 years. She was a lover of music and poetry and has had many of her poems printed in the Log Cabin Democrat. Lillian was a dedicated homemaker and loved cooking and writing. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11 am at the First Church of the Nazarene in Conway. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway. Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 687, Conway, Ark. 72033.
