Shirley Nipps

Shirley Nipps, 66, of Little Rock was called home on November 6, 2012. She was born on October 3, 1946 in Norfork , Arkansas to Roscoe and Ruby Dobbs. Shirley was a devoted wife and mother; she loved spending time with her family and was a wonderful cook. Some of her specialties were homemade spaghetti and at Christmas, sausage balls. She loved to travel, crochet, read and watch the Hogs play. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Betty Jean Pope and Josephine Phillips. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Charles, four children; Tina Carter (Trey), Mark Nipps (Janice), Deana Simmons (Michael), Georganna Grigsby (Scott), a sister; Ruby Mae Potts (Roy), two brothers; Edward Dobbs (Margie) , James Dobbs (Margie), and 8 grandchildren. Shirley also leaves a host of family and friends. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m., November 9, 2012 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills, 10200 Hwy 5 N., Alexander, Arkansas. Funeral services will be Saturday 1 p.m. at the chapel with burial following at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
