Photo of Richard Lee Kizzire Sr.
Richard Lee Kizzire Sr. went home to his heavenly Father on Nov. 7, 2012. He was born on March 27, 1943 to Lucille Parr Kizzire and Cecil Theron Kizzire. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Billy Ray Kizzire and Bruce Theron Kizzire. Richard loved his Lord and Savior and his family-especially his grandchildren. His broad smile and hearty laugh were telling signs of the joy that came from spending time with them. His family and friends can now find comfort in the knowledge that he is no longer dealing with physical pain but is able once again to experience real joy in the presence of Christ and the dear loved ones that had gone before. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, (Pat)ricia Taylor Kizzire; children, Richard Jr. (Judy) and Kathy, all of Stuttgart: two brothers, Charles Kizzire (Nancy) of Pratt, Kan., and Troy Kizzire (Wilda) of Bella Vista, Ark; five grandchildren, River, Forrest, Laiken, and Kayla Kizzire, Robie Kaye Hopper and one great-grand-daughter, Maddie. He also leaves behind a life-long friend in Shag Treadway (Kathy) of Des Arc in addition to an extended family of brother and sister-in-laws who hold such fond memories of his antics in their early years. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church on Monday, Nov. 12, beginning at 12 noon with service following at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Marsh Cemetery in Casscoe. The family request that memorials be made to Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Youth Group. To sign his guestbook, please visit www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
