Ramona Mardelle Manning of Little Rock Arkansas went to be with the Lord November 11, 2012. She was born July 19, 1921 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her husband Tom Manning, son Michael Manning, her parents Ervin "Pete" and Odessa Holder, grandchildren Kenneth Manning and Thomas Wade Steenberg, brother Sonny Holder, sister Wanda Bowers. She is survived by her four children, Ron Manning and wife Glenda of Alexander City, Ala., Carolyn Steenberg of Little Rock, Ark., Linda Wills and husband David of Little Rock, Ark. and Kathryn Jones of Little Rock, Ark.; grandchildren, Mandy Blaylock, Joshua Blaylock, Stephanie Tucker, Tracy Jones, Jason Sellers and Kristie Browning; great-grandchildren, Keith Manning, Kendra Manning, Jordan Tucker and one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Weldon Holder and Bill Holder both of Walnut Ridge; a sister, Ann Mays of Harrisburg. Mardelle had a long-full life and was married to her husband, Tom Manning for 63 years. They had a wonderful life together traveling around the country and living in several different states during their marriage. Mardelle was proud to be the wife of a WWII Veteran and it is fitting that she went to be with him on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Mardelle was a fine Christian woman who dedicated all of her time to her family. Her interests involved talking about her life experiences, cooking, sewing, knitting & crocheting, gardening and being at her husband's side. Her fondest years were at their previous home on Greers Ferry Lake where they lived for 25 years in their retirement. After her husband Tom passed away, she found a wonderful new circle of dear friends at Shepherd's Cove in Little Rock whose friendship she treasured. Mardelle was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend and she will be greatly missed by all. The family would like to give a special thank you to Doris, Bonnie and the other Caregivers that stayed with her during this last year. She was truly blessed to have such warm-caring people assist her during this final chapter of her life. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 14th in the Bryan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom Lamb officiating in Hoxie, Ark. with the Funeral following at 2 p.m. Interment will following in the Lawrence Memorial Park.
