Joseph Michael Oates

Joseph Oates, 38, of Conway passed away Nov. 16, 2012 after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. Joseph Michael Oates was born June 20, 1974 to Joe Oates and Kathy McBryde at Little Rock. He was an outgoing person who cherished spending time with his nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is survived by his father, Joe Oates of Little Rock; mother, Kathy McBryde of Conway; partner, Joshua Freeman of Conway; sister and care-giver, Rebecca Wooley of Conway; sister, Tamara Mulligan of Conway; grandmother, Ora Lee McBryde; nieces and nephews Brandon Anible, Blaine Anible, Victoria Wooley, Ashley Mulligan, Alyssa Mulligan and Savanna Menzie, as well as numerous other relatives and special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Aubrey and Bennie Oates and Francis McBryde. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home (801 8th Ave) in Conway. Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. also at the funeral home on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
