Heidi Lucette Giller Meadows

Heidi Lucette Giller Meadows, 50, of El Dorado who loved God, her family, and music, went to her heavenly home on Friday, November 16, 2012. She was born June 4, 1962 in Little Rock, Ark. to Dr. Walter John Giller and Lucie Murphy Giller. She was a 1980 salutatorian graduate of El Dorado High School and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in economics. Soon after, Heidi became a certified public accountant in the state of Arkansas. She was a member of the Civitan, Service League, South Arkansas Symphony, SAS Chamber Players, Hot Springs Flute Ensemble, DAR, and Daughters of the King at St. Mary's Episcopal Church where she was an active member of the church. She was a participant in many Flute Master Classes, most notably the James Galway International Flute Master Class and Convention. Preceding her in death are her father, Dr. Walter John Giller Jr., brother, Walter John Giller III, grandparents, Carmen Ivy Murphy, Walter John Giller and Violet McRae Giller. Survivors include her daughter, Julia McRae Meadows of Fayetteville, Ark., her son, John Scott Meadows of Hot Springs, Ark., her mother, Lucie Murphy Giller of El Dorado, sister, Amy Giller Heyman and husband Steve and their children Rachel Heyman, and Daniel Heyman of Syracuse, New York and sister, Mary Ann Giller Moore and husband Wayne and their children Jett Moore, Jackson Moore and Davis Moore of Little Rock, Ark., grandfather, Dr. Randolph Murphy and his wife Jewell, and her late brother's children, Walter John Giller IV, and Blake Randolph Giller, her step-mother, Bertha Giller of El Dorado. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church with Father Charles Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the funeral home.
