Gary Michael Osborn

Mr. Gary Michael Osborn, of Little Rock, Ark., departed this life on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, in Little Rock, surrounded by family, loved ones, and his best friend and dog, Dixie, at the age of 60. His family would like to issue a special thank you to the staff and doctors at St. Vincent's Infirmary and Arkansas Hospice for fulfilling Gary's last wishes and allowing him to die with dignity in the presence of those he loved. Gary was born November 26, 1951, in Jonesboro, Ark. the son of James Grady "Big Jim" Osborn and Geraldine "MeMe" Osborn. He was raised in Jonesboro and attended Subiaco Academy. He resided as an adult in Little Rock, where he was a former co-owner of GM Osborn Construction Incorporated. He was a talented and smart craftsman who loved the outdoors and fishing. He also was a passionate guitar player who studied music at the University of Arkansas Little Rock during his later years. He is survived by his beloved best friend and dog, Dixie, one son, Michael Osborn of Vancouver, Wash., four daughters, Amy Osborn of Modesta, Calif., Dana Barnett and husband Jason of Casscoe, Ark., Melinda Black and husband Jamey of Sheridan, Ark., Laurie Galloway and husband Ray of Texarkana, Texas, his parents, Geraldine "MeMe" and James Grady "Big Jim" Osborn of Jonesboro, Ark., two sisters, Gwen Gardner and husband Robby of Little Rock, Ark., Ginger Richards and husband Jeff of Dallas, Texas, two brothers, Gerry Mark Osborn of Little Rock, Ark., James Grady Osborn II of St. Louis, Mo., eight grandchildren, Sean Osborn of Vancouver, Wash., Jonathan Osborn, Eric Osborn, Matthew Osborn and Chad Osborn, all of Modesta, Calif., Jana Barnett and Lauren Barnett, both of Casscoe, Ark., JP Black III of Sheridan, Ark., and a granddaughter due this week, Lynnley Rae Galloway of Texarkana, Texas, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other friends. A Rosary service is scheduled for Sunday, November 25, 2012, at 5 p.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Jonesboro with visitation to follow from 5:30 till 7:30 p.m. at the church. Funeral services are scheduled for 12 noon Monday at the church with Father Jack Vu officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery at Jonesboro. Pallbearers will be uncles, Don Duch, Erven Duch, and Benny Duch, brother in laws, Jeff Richards and Robby Gardner, brother, Gerry Mark Osborn and honorary pallbearer, Michael Osborn.
