Joseph Edward Kearney

Captain Joseph Edward Kearney USN (Ret.), age 94 of Little Rock, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012. He was born November 28, 1917 in Little Rock, Ark. to the late Thomas Edward Kearney and Birdie Matthews Kearney. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maurice Barham Kearney. He is survived by his son, Captain John Joseph Kearney USN (Ret.); his daughter, Anna Jane Johnston and husband Scot, all of Little Rock; five grandchildren, Leslie Smith, Rebecca Neighbors and husband Robert, Amy Bush and husband David, Megan Lane and husband John, all of Little Rock, and Sally Johnston of Richardson, Texas; and nine great-grandchildren, Savannah, Hannah, Reid, Haley, Fuller, Olivia, David, Jackson and Luke. Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Ruebel Funeral Home followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.
