Debra Carol Franks

Debra Carol Franks, 61, of Jonesboro passed away Friday, Oct. 5, at N.E.A. Baptist Hospital. She was born in Walnut Ridge, and had lived in Jonesboro for 45 years. She was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ and a retired teacher for the Valley View and Jonesboro School District. She received her bachelor, master, and specialist degrees from Arkansas State University. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemoyne and Margaret Finley Mullen; son, John Franks and brother, David Mullen. Survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Mac Franks of the home; son, Casey Franks (Heather) of Little Rock; daughter, Amanda Weathers (Bradley) of Jonesboro; brother, Daniel Mullen (Naomi) of Walnut Ridge; two grandchildren, Colby Wood and Laney Weathers. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Adcox officiating. Burial will be at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
