Delores J. Hobbs, 61, of Romance, died Oct. 18, 2012. She was born May 20, 1951 to Olen L. Wright and Iva Lee Wilson Wright. She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Carlisle and a 1969 graduate of Carlisle High School. A great story teller, Delores was so funny and loved life. She was always giving and thinking of others. On Oct. 11, 2012, Delores was presented with the honor of Employee of the Year for the Arkansas Department of Human Services Division of Medical Services. After 22 years of service with the Department of Human Services, she currently held the title of program manager. Delores is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shellah Wright. She leaves behind a loving husband, Robin Hobbs of Romance; a daughter, Carlene Sublett (Joseph) of North Little Rock; a son, David Harness of Romance; grandchildren, Samuel and Olivia Lee of Cabot and Emma Hernandez of Cabot; three sisters, Anita Dubose (Kenneth) of St. Charles, Mo., Debbie Reaves (Delbert) and Brenda Horner (Monty) all of Carlisle; brother, William Sears (Arlee Jo) of Carlisle; five nieces; two nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Carlisle with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery. www.westbrookfuneralhome.com.
