Pearl Ingalls Clinehens, age 100, of Fayetteville, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 in Fayetteville. He was born July 23, 1912 in Fort Smith, Ark., the son of Rolla and Mable Dykeman Clinehens. He was preceded in death by both his parents, and two brothers Rolla Clinehens and Harold Clinehens. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and Denver Pharmacy School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was stationed in New Guinea. He was a member of First Baptist Church Fayetteville where he served as a deacon and greeter until the age 99. He owned and operated Clinehens Fayetteville Drug on the square with his father and brothers from 1926 until 1985; and was a charter member of the Fayetteville Kiwanis Club. Pearl was loved as a kind, yet stubborn, funny, honest and full of integrity, Christian gentleman and a long time member of the Fayetteville community. He was very family oriented and an avid Razorback fan (raising his children knowing Texas was our No. 1 enemy and communism second). He is survived by his bride, Audrey, of 62 years; two daughters, Connie Fletcher and husband Don of Little Rock, Ark., Cheryl Barker and husband Jeff of Fayetteville, Ark.; one brother, Charles Clinehens and wife Dorothy of Fayetteville, Ark.; six grandchildren, Micah Rice, Casey Fletcher, Abby Fletcher, Caleb Fletcher, Barrett Barker, and Travis Barker; and two great-grandchildren Prairie Rice, and Carley Siler. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church Fayetteville, with internment to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
