Mary Elizabeth Youngman

Mary Elizabeth "Emee" Stanley Youngman, age 30, of Augusta, Ark. passed away at her home on April 12, 2013. Emee was born in Newport, Ark. on June 10, 1982, the daughter of Penny and David Stanley. Emee graduated from Searcy High School with the class of 2000. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development. On August 5, 2007, she married the love of her life, Jimmy D. Youngman, Jr. of Augusta. In 2012, Emee became the Assistant Director for the ARCare Education Center in Augusta, Ark. There she was pursued her love of working with children. Among her many responsibilities, she was the director of the after school program for young teenagers. She absolutely loved her interaction with these young people and hoped everyday to make a difference in their lives. She was known as the most caring person one could ever meet. She always greeted everyone with her beautiful smile and unforgettable bright blue eyes. A family friend said of Emee, "If you didn't love Emee, you didn't like people." She filled everyone around her with love and overwhelming happiness. When Emee was not working, you could find her with a group of friends and family. It was her goal to make everyone enjoy life as much as she did. Most summer days you could find her on the White River, ten miles south of Augusta, at her favorite sand bar, Gravelly point. Emee often remarked she did not need to go away for a vacation, as Gravelly was the perfect destination. Emee is survived by her husband, Jimmy D. Youngman Jr. of Augusta; mother, Penny Stanley of Augusta; her father-in-law, Jimmy Youngman and wife, Sherrie Youngman; her mother-in-law, Brenda Mayhue and her husband, Steve of Bradford; brother, Michael John Gray and wife, Amy of Augusta; her sister, Lee Stanley Phillips and husband, Patrick of Austin, Texas; two brother in laws, Daniel Youngman and wife, Misty of Augusta,  Cameron Jernigan and wife, Hayley of Fayetteville; one sister in law, Katie Jernigan of Searcy; Six nieces and nephews, Christopher Youngman, Randa Youngman, Dillion Youngman, and Emma Youngman of Augusta; David Phillips and Andrew Phillips of Austin, Texas; as well as a multitude of family and friends. Emee was preceded in death by her father, David Stanley and her grandparents, Mary and Joseph H. Stanley Jr. and Florence and Mal Raymond, all of Augusta. A Celebration of Emee's Life will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday April 14, at Fronabarger's Restaurant in Downtown Augusta.  Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday April 15, at The First United Methodist Church in Augusta.  Following the memorial Emee's earthly remains will rejoin her spirit in her beloved White River. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Arkansas Family Health Foundation (400 west Capitol Ave. Suite 2910; Little Rock, Ark. 72201) designated in Memory of Emee Stanley Youngman or The First United Methodist Church of Augusta, Building Fund (301 South Third; Augusta, Ark.  72006).
