Mr. John Perry Carter, age 73 of Hot Springs Village, Ark. and passed away in Franklin, Tenn. and went to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 27, 2013. Born in Batesville, Ark. formerly lived in Osceola and Hot Springs, Ark. and also in Memphis, Tenn. where he worked as Director of Human Resources for Sears, Union Carbide and TBC. He was active in his community by serving as President of the Osceola Chamber of Commerce from 1983-1984 and was named Citizen of the Year in 1983. Preceded in death by parents, Harry and Nila Mae Perry Carter. Survived by: sons, Todd (Lori) Carter & Chip Carter; grandchildren, Hayes & William Carter; wife, Sharon Dobson Carter; stepchildren, Todd (Brenda) Westmoreland, Jodi (Scott) Hichew & Michelle (John) Flynn; step grandchildren, Cole Westmoreland, Sidney & Savannah Lindley, Callan Flynn, T.J. & Taylor Teckenbrock; sister, Patricia Wilcox; niece, Cindy Woolery; & nephew, Rusty Wilson; mother of his children, Beth (Bill) Ligon. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville, Ark. with visitation two hours prior to the service.
