DONNA SUE (REED) MCSPADDEN, 67, of Little Rock, passed away, on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. She was born June 27, 1945, a daughter of the late Carl D. Reed and Geraldine (Brust) Reed of Jonesboro, Ark. She was also preceded in death by her son, Carl Austin McSpadden. She was a mobility and orientation instructor for the Lions World Services for the Blind for 14 years; and a case worker for the Office of the Deaf and Hearing Impaired. She was coordinator of services for the deaf and blind with the Arkansas Division of Services for the Blind. Most recently she had taught at Alexander Youth Services. She fought very hard for people. She believed in and fought for the rights of people she served. Donna was a member of the Baha'I Faith since 1970. She served as a member of the local Spiritual Assembly (governing body) of the local community. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jack O. McSpadden of Batesville, Ark.; her daughter, Jessica Carrol McSpadden of Little Rock; her mother; a sister, Janet Lynn (Reed) Hooks of Jonesboro; granddaughter, Myranda McSpadden Reed of Haskell; two great-grandchildren, Brantley Austin and Aubree Lynn; a great-aunt, Joyce (Brust) Norman of Jonesboro; two nieces and one nephew. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at the funeral home, with graveside service at 2 p.m., at Pine Crest Memorial Park, under the direction of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. 501-661-9111.
