Mrs. Alberta Patterson Adams, 105, 3132 Dawnshire Avenue, Charlotte, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at home. Native of Cleveland County. Daughter of the late Amanda Patterson McCarthy. The funeral service will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Epworth United Methodist Church, Gastonia, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 12:30 until 1 p.m. Burial at N. Oakland St. Cemetery. Survivors: daughters, Lorraine Orr (Aaron Sr.), Alberta Parker (John), Betty Simpson (Isaac), and Yvonne Miller; sons, Leon Adams Jr. (Naomi) and Richard Adams (Ida). Costner Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.
