Doryse Pauline (nee Beckham) Martin

Doryse Pauline (nee Beckham) Martin, aged 85. The Lord called Doryse home to himself on January 22, 2013, in Tucson, Arizona, after a brief illness. She died peacefully, with the prayers and love of family members around her. After a brief funeral service, she was laid to rest in the So. Arizona. Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista, Ariz. Born in Searcy, Arkansas, Doryse was married to Fred (Al) Martin, a Navy veteran, for 65 years; she was the mother of Dr. Robbie Martin, M.D. Doryse and Al lived for more than 50 years in Little Rock, Ark., and were members of Grace Lutheran Church, Mo. Synod. When younger, Doryse worked at one time in the prosecutors' office under then-Attorney Le Munson. she also worked once as the principal's secretary at First Lutheran High School in downtown Little Rock. She enjoyed for a time teaching Sunday School at Grace Church. Memorial donations can be made to the Grace Lutheran Church, Mo. Synod's endowment fund.
