Allen Joe Carden

Allen Joe Carden, 70, of Forrest City died Tuesday. He was born on July 24, 1942 to the late Allen Lee and Mary Leona Carden in Wynne, Arkansas. Mr. Carden was a teacher and coach in Carlisle, Dewitt, Des Arc and Forrest City. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Arkansas Activities Association, Arkansas Officials Association and Sigma Tau Fraternity. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Rhoda Carol Carden of Forrest City, Ark.; sons, Joe Carroll Carden (Amy) of Little Rock, Ark. and David Wayne Carden (Kay) of Forrest City, Ark.; grandchildren, Shelby Jo Carden, Spencer Carden, Hanna Carden, Sydney Carden, Mallory Carden, Tinley Carden, Sebastian Carden, Jackson Carden and Christian Carden; sister, Mary Plunkett of Jacksonville, Ark.; niece, Kay Williams of Jacksonville, Ark. and great niece Alyana Williams of Jacksonville, Ark. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Ridgewood Baptist Church in Forrest City. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ridgewood Baptist Church with Dr. Fred Swan officiating.
