Cynthia Lovell Ellis, 83 of North Little Rock was born on November 24, 1929 and went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2013. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, daughter, aunt and friend to many. Making sure that her family knew the Lord was important to her and she did her best to model a godly woman in all she did. Lovelle is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gene Ellis; daughters, Sherrie (Jeff) Smith and Melanie (Ricky) Holleman of North Little Rock and Teressa (Pete) Rambo of Scott; son, Donald (Quenan) Ellis of Sherwood; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Patsy Nell Kennedy of Green Forest, Ark. and a brother, Billy Best of Harrisburg, Ark., sister-in-law, Geraldine Harris of Harrisburg, Ark. along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Robin and Nora Best of Harrisburg, Ark.; brother, Samuel Best of Harrisburg, Ark.; brother and sister-in-law, David and Lois Best of Horseshoe Lake, Ark.; and sisters, Olivia Best, Laura Lea Best and Omega Best Cummings of Harrisburg, Ark. She was a long time member of Lakewood United Methodist church and recently joined Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the church at Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church, 1723 Schaer Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72114 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105. The family would like to thank nurses and staff of Robinson Nursing and Rehabilitation, Odyssey Hospice and her church family for their loving care, prayers and support. Visitation and funeral will be held on Friday, January 11 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock. The visitation will be at 1 p.m. with the funeral starting at 2 p.m.
