Dorothy L. Lovell, age 95 of North Little Rock died January 26, 2013. She was born on September 4, 1917 in Conway, Arkansas to John W. Martin and Margaret Butts Martin. She was a member of the Levy Baptist Church in North Little Rock and was retired from the University of Arkansas Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John W. Lovell Sr. of North Little Rock and sisters Pauline Frances Eichelmann of Little Rock, Anna Margaret Perry of North Little Rock, Mildred Stalnaker of North Little Rock and a brother John W. Martin of Sherwood, Arkansas. She is survived by a son, John W. Lovell Jr and his wife Carole of Sherwood; daughter, Janet Tiner and her husband Bill Ed Tiner of Hollister, Missouri; brother, James Luther Martin and his wife Jo Ann of Beebe, Arkansas. Other survivors are five grandchildren, Mary Catherine Somers of Roswell, New Mexico, Charles M. Lovell of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Eddy Tiner of Badwildbad, Germany, Jennifer Tiner of San Diego, California, and Andy Tiner of Mountain Home, Arkansas. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 30th, 2013 at 12 noon at Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Alzheimers Arkansas ( or to your favorite charity.
