Elaine Roan

Elaine Roan, 80, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Saturday, July 20, 2013, at her home. She was born September 3, 1932, in Clebit, Oklahoma, to Cecil M. and Hattie L. Couch Roan. She was reared and educated in Eagletown, Oklahoma, before moving to Pine Bluff in 1950. She had worked for 40 years at AP&L before retiring as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church and three time president of the ABWA DuBocage Chapter in Pine Bluff. She was the ABWA "Woman of the year" in 1976. She had perfect attendance for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include a sister, Mary Nicolich of Eldorado; a brother Cecil H. Roan of Wickes; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday at Robinson's. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24. 2013, Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Pam Estes officiating.
