Nile Edward Triplett

Nile Edward Triplett, 95, was promoted to his heavenly home on July 23, 2013 at Chapel Woods, Warren. He was born January 22, 1918 in Cecil, Arkansas (Franklin County) to Columbus Newton and Mary Ellen Smith Triplett. He married Bernice Helen Hogan on October 17, 1939. She preceded him in death on April 3, 2001 after 61 1/2 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Prescott (Warner); Lorene Eslinger (Alfred); one brother, Carl Triplett (Ann); one grandson, Douglas Gale Simpson. He is survived by one daughter, Mary Gayle Simpson (Charles Lee), Warren; one grandson, Edward Lee Simpson (Lori Patrice Quick), Stephens; two great-grandsons, Tyler Lee Simpson, Magnolia; George Rustyn Quick (Kathryn) Magnolia; one great-granddaughter, Kristen Marie Simpson, (fiancé, Christopher Mitchell), Bossier City, Louisiana and special caregivers, Densil and Joy Stewart. Bro. Triplett served the Lord in the ministry for 63 years. He pastored 11 churches in Arkansas and one in Louisiana. He was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church, Warren. Services 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Powell Funeral Home, Searcy. Visitation 12:30 to service time. Burial in White County Memorial Gardens. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
