Patricia Wood

Patricia J. Wood, age 91, passed from this life Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her home in Columbus, Ohio. She was born Feb. 15, 1922 in Kempston, Bedfordshire England. She was a long time resident of Arkadelphia before moving to Columbus, Ohio, four and a half years ago, to be near her children. Patricia was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and also a Red Cross and Baptist Hospital Auxiliary volunteer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Patricia loved her many friends and kept up with them via Facebook and email. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Jack Wood, and her four sisters and two brothers. Patricia is survived by two sons, Barry (Mary), Jack Jr. (Nancy); and daughter, Lynda; six grandchildren, Chris, Derrick, Chad, Wendy, Nathan, and Justin; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Orlan Ehler of Iowa; and one sister-in-law, Ingrid Willmott of Texas; and many loved nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Sanders officiating.
