Eva Frances Porter

Eva Frances Davis Porter, 82, of Tinsman, died Saturday March 9, 2013 at St. John's Place in Fordyce. Born November 7, 1930 in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late James Wilson and Effie Elizabeth Smith Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of Tinsman First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Louis Jackson Porter; a brother, James Earl Davis; a sister, Nettie Elizabeth Mercer. Survivors include two sons, Terry Porter and wife Martha of Tinsman, Darrell D. Porter of Harmony Grove; daughter, Kim Duncan and husband, Ronnie, of Hampton; brother, Frank Davis of Harrell; sister, Essie Mae Cranford of Luling, La.; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Tinsman First Baptist Church with Rev.
