Anna Florene "Flo" Keech, 82, passed away on March 13, 2013 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born in Junction City, Arkansas, on December 30, 1930, to Grayson and Lillian R. Spears, the third of ten children. Flo grew up in Union Parish, Louisiana, graduating from Bernice High School in 1948. Ms. Keech lived in Shreveport, Louisiana for a number of years before moving to Hope, Arkansas in 1973 to work for her brother as an office clerk at Spears Carpet Mills. Flo retired from Bruner Ivory Handle Company in 1996 and moved to Searcy in 2001. She was also an Avon representative for over 20 years. Flo was a life-time member of Churches of Christ. She attended the Southern Avenue Church of Christ in Shreveport; the Hope Church of Christ and Melrose Lane Church of Christ in Hope; and Foothills Church of Christ in Searcy. Flo was a loyal and devoted mother and sibling. Her three crowning achievements were showing unconditional love as a single mother to a mischievous and independent son, living within her means, and sharing her faith. Although a private and serious person, everyone who knew Flo loved her kind, generous, and sweet spirit. Survivors include: a son, his wife and one grandchild, Kevin, Shelly and Wyatt Keech of Little Rock; a sister: Evelyn Barmore Hudson (Leroy) of Shreveport, Louisiana; brothers: James "Jake" Spears (Ann) of Ruston, Louisiana; Grayson "El" Spears (Geraldene) of Jacksonville; Paul Spears (Gwenette) of Ruston, Louisiana; Jerry Spears (Donna) of Little Rock; Donnie Spears (Fran) of Lewisville, Texas; a brother-in-law, Gerald Roberson of Hope, Arkansas; and a sister-in-law, Nell Spears of El Dorado, Arkansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings - Opal Spears, Ted Spears and Barbara Spears Roberson. Special thanks for the loving care provided by: Harding Place, Hospice Home Care of Searcy and Little Rock and the staff of Valley Ranch Nursing.
