Gerald J. Vannieuwenhaven

GERALD J. VANNIEUWENHOVEN, 76, passed away on May 1, 2013 at North Metro Hospital where he was for a short time. Gerald was born on Aug. 12, 1936 to John and Evelyn (Williquette) Vannieuwenhoven in Suamico, Wis. He served in the Army 1957-1960. He married Doris Anderkay on April 2, 1960 in Greenbay, Wis. He lived in Wisconsin for 45 years before moving to Arkansas in 1981. He worked for Amtran Corp for 15 years. He is survived by one son, Scott (Sandra) Vannieuwenhoven of Florida and one daughter, Connie Marceau of Wisconsin; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a very close friend, Doris Baker, who took care of him; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris in 2008 and his parents and sister. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, (501)835-3515.
