Lauvern Jeffries

Dr. LAUVERN JEFFRIES, 87, Little Rock, departed this life April 30, 2013. She was preceded in by her husband, Deacon James Jeffries Sr.; father, Willie Saunders; mother, Roenia Saunders-Grigsby; brothers, Leroy Saunders, Desoto and Turna Grigsby Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory: children, Salley Harvey, Addie Grigsby-Roshell (John), both of little Rock; step-sons, James Jr., Herbert, Welton Jeffries, all of Lansing, Mich., Emmitt (Bettye) Jeffries, Little Rock; brother, Mark Grigsby, Little Rock; other family and a host of friends. Family hour: 5:30-7 p.m. Monday at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1701 E. 3rd St., Little Rock. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 2015 Main St., Little Rock, Pastor J.C.
