Paul E. Pyle Jr.

Paul E. Pyle Jr. passed away Saturday, peacefully, in his North Little Rock family home. Paul was born in North Little Rock, on November 23, 1926. He was the son of Paul E. Pyle and Clarice Walker Pyle. He received a degree in Art Education from the University of Central Arkansas. Drafted near the end of WWII, he served as the base photographer at Ft. Belvoir in Virginia. When Paul returned to North Little Rock, he pursued his interests in photography, art and fine gentlemen's things. He was a life member of the NRA. Paul was known to many for his patronage of arts and for his long-term management at Jungkind Photographic. He was predeceased by a sister, Mae Dean Pyle Smee (1921-2010) and by a nephew, Paul Edward Smee (1945-2006). He is survived by nephews, James Doyle Smee and Robert Alan Smee of Pittsburgh, Pa., eight grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and one great-grandniece. Paul is also survived by long-term companion, Dr. Sarah Brown of North Little Rock. Services will be held at Mount Holly Cemetery, Friday, May 30 at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Argenta Neighborhood Boosters, 301 W. 7th Street, NLR, Ark. 72114 and to the Pulaski County Humane Society.
