Troy Cates

Troy M. Cates, 91 of Vilonia. Born March 15, 1922 to Steve & Dora Cates of England, Ark. Went to be with his Lord & Savior, May 27, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was a member of Beryl Baptist Church, a veteran of the Army, serving in WWII & Korean wars, exiting as a Master Sergeant. He is preceded in death by his parents, wives, Juanita Evans, Vida Mae Tipton, Bobbie Gist, brothers, W.L. Cates, Coy E. Cates, & his only grandson, Kasey D. Harper. Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Anita Hardester (Dennis) & Ann Daniel (Steve) of Vilonia, step-daughter, Mary Jo Stanton (Bill) of Sherwood; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren & many more family & friends. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. services & interment will be 11 a.m. Friday May 31, 2013 by Pastor Wade Lentz at Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood, Ark.
