Zelma James

Zelma Huckabee James, 93, of Heber Springs went to her Heavenly home on Monday, May 27, 2013. She was born December 8, 1919 in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas. She was a resident of Southridge Village in Heber Springs. Zelma was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Olan James; parents, Sam and Audrey Huckabee; three brothers, Floyd Nolen, Kenneth and Sam Huckabee, Jr.; and her sister, Mary Bell Huckabee. She is survived by her sister, Erma Ripley (Rip), of North Little Rock; two sons, David Holmes (Lois) of Indiana and Mike Freeman (Sharon), of Cabot; two daughters, Evalena Squires and Mary Luckey, both of Quitman; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 at Forest Hills Memorial Park with her grandson, James Dalton officiating.
