Ima Jean Curry

Ima Jean Curry, 91, of Maumelle passed away on Tuesday, November 5th, 2013. She was born to the late J.D. and Audrey McElroy in Floyd County, Texas. Ima spent her life making a life for her family and treasured the time she spent with them. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Sherwood. She was wonderful cook and loved working in the yard. She enjoyed playing cards with her family. Ima had a witty sense of humor and everyone who met her was touched by her loving smile and personality. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of over 76 years Reano Harmon Curry; her children Patsy Diamant, Jerry R. (Marge) Curry, David A. (Andrea) Curry and James K. Curry; her sisters Margie Osbourne and Dorothy Oden; her brothers Joe McElroy and Floyd "Cotton" McElroy; her nine grandchildren; her 12 great-grandchildren and her one great-great-grandchild and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss her dearly. Graveside services will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Hwy 5 N., Alexander, Arkansas 72002 on Saturday, November 9 at 1 p.m. with Travis Matthew and James Thomason officiating. General Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, November 9th. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Arkansas, 1801 Central Ave, Hot Springs, Ark. 71901.
