Benetta Jean Brown Marotti

Mrs. Benetta Jean Brown Marotti, 85, of Crawfordsville, Ark. was born Feb. 3, 1928, to her late parents, Richard and Ruth Brown of West Memphis, Ark. and died on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013. Mrs. Marotti worked as a telephone operator for 20 years while living in Blytheville, Ark. before moving to West Memphis in 1964. She was a member of First Assembly of God in West Memphis where she was the organist for 40 years, and secretary of the Women's Ministry for 30 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ruth Brown; her husband of 32 years, Daniel Marotti of Crawfordsville; by her brothers, John and his late wife, Thelma Brown, and Donald Brown and his surviving wife, Kalei Brown all of West Memphis. Survivors include a brother in law, Johnnie Marotti (Mary) of Crawfordsville, Ark.; a sister in law, Mrs. Lydia Greganti (late husband Armond) of Cordova, Tenn.; a niece, Tina Williams (Gene) of Huron, Tenn.; two nephews, Johnny Marotti (Sandra) of Crawfordsville, Ark. and Rick Brown (Michelle) of Memphis, Tenn.; as well as a host of great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her caregiver, Diane Holt of Crawfordsville, Ark. and a host of other family and friends. Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God in West Memphis Ministry Department. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church in West Memphis from 11-12 with services to follow at noon.
