Gene Arlen Nolen, Jr. "Gino", 50, of Little Rock passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. He was born on December 1, 1962 in Little Rock to Gene Nolen Sr. and Kela Fisher Caldwell. Gino proudly served his country for over 23 years in the National Guard, including serving in Operation Enduring Freedom. He worked for 28 years at Sam's Club. Gino loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He was blessed with a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. Gino loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them, especially cookouts. He knew the meaning of friendship and was a true friend to many. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Ruth Shelton and his grandparents George and Sarah Israel. Gino leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 20 years, Darcy; his daughter Sarah; his mother Kela Caldwell; his father Gene (Rhonda) Nolen, Sr,; his siblings Glenn (Laura) Nolen, Mitchell Nolen, Deana Rebman, Amy (Lonnie) Ritchie, Jennifer Nolen and Jamie Nolen; his father and mother in law Troy and Caroline Biggs, his brother in law Dean (Joyce) Biggs; his dog Zeke and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss him dearly. A celebration of Gino's life will be on Sunday, September 22 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home with Brother Dennis Yarberry officiating. Gino was a casual guy, to honor this, please dress casually for the celebration. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday the 21st. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Sarah L.
