Joyce B. Graham

Joyce B. Graham was born November 29, 1928, in Regina, Saskatchewan, and passed away March 29, 2014, in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She is survived by her sons, Owen Graham and his wife and son Corrine and Samuel, and Charles Graham and his children Andrea, Ariel and Barron. Joyce grew up and attended nursing school in Saskatchewan, and then began her life's adventure. Joyce maintained that the "easiest way to see the world is to become a nurse. A nurse can find a good job almost anywhere." Joyce worked in hospitals in Oregon, Montana, California and Hawaii where she met her husband Ralph Graham. She then accompanied Ralph all over the world as he pursued his naval career. They retired in Oregon in 1973 and moved to Heber Springs in 1991. Ralph passed away in 1999, but Joyce stayed busy with the Presbyterian Women, the Humane Society, The Retired Officers Association and the local Home Extension. She was a loving woman with a kind, generous soul and a lively sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 6, at 3 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Heber Springs. Arrangements: Olmstead Funeral Home. www.olmstead.cc.
