Geneva A. Griffin, age 88, passed away on April 5, 2014 of complications of lymphatic cancer. She was a native of Arkansas. She was born march 18, 1926 to Iva and Albert Terry. Mrs. Griffin had a long professional career in management. She was a Plant Manager of an Aircraft Parts Manufacturing Plant in San Pedro, California until her retirement in 1989, at which time she returned to her home state after some thirty years of living out of the state. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas. Mrs. Griffin is survived by one beloved son Jerry Griffin and his wife Ellona of Searcy; one granddaughter, Lynn Brown of Judsonia; a special great-grandson, Michael Griffin attending college at Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg Kan.; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Brown and great-grandson Kirk Brown of Judsonia; one sister, Juanita Shirey and her husband Jim of Searcy; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerald Y. Griffin, Sr. one brother, Albert F. Terry, Jr. and a very special niece, Benita Wilkins. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at Trinity Baptist Church, Searcy, burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Lonoke; arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
