Natalie Brown Nolan

Mrs. Natalie Brown Nolan, 92, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Saturday morning in Little Rock. She was born February 12, 1922, in Pine Bluff, the daughter of Thomas C. Brown and Birdie Bryan Brown of Pine Bluff. At a very young age, she moved with her parents to Monroe, Louisiana, where she grew up. She graduated from Ouachita Parish High School and attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. In 1942 she married J. O. (Pete) Nolan; and after World War II they lived in Monroe, Bastrop, Natchez, Miss. and then Pine Bluff, where Mr. Nolan was with International Paper Company. Mr. Nolan died in July, 1994; and after a few years Mrs. Nolan moved to Little Rock to live with her daughter, Virginia and son-in-law, Bob Anderson. In addition to Virginia and Bob Anderson, survivors are a son, Robert L. Nolan, M.D. of Jonesboro; a brother, Charles G. Brown of Baton Rouge, LA; a grandson, Robert W. Anderson III and his wife Leigh of Little Rock; a great-granddaughter Emma; and a cousin, Kathryn Turchi of Pine Bluff. Mrs. Nolan was a member of First Methodist Church of Pine Bluff since 1954 and a former member of the Pearl Burnham Sunday school class. Ralph Robinson & Son will conduct a private family burial, with Reverend Siegfried Johnson of St. James Methodist Church, officiating.
