Jacqueline M. Delaney "Granny" returned to her heavenly home on Aug. 2, 2014. Her devotion to her family and her belief in God supported her in her final days and ultimately gave her peace. Granny was born in Conway on Nov. 25, 1926. She was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend and the love of her life Leonard Delaney. They were members of Center Point Freewill Baptist Church. Together they had three beautiful girls Margie, Betty and Tammy. Granny stayed home to raise her girls and she told us often she loved those days with them. She, from the very beginning, dedicated her girls to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the Gospels. Granny loved her family dearly, and tragically lost her two daughters, Betty and Margie. She also cared for her husband for 33 years after his first heart attack. It was her faith in the Lord that carried her through those very, very difficult times. She always stopped her world to care for those in need. She returned to work for Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator and retired in 1986. She was an avid Razorback fan and loved to travel to Fayetteville to watch football games. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Kelley (Roger); grandchildren, Keri Mann (Chris), Heather Mistric, Brad Kelley Family, Chad Kelley Family; great-grandchildren, Payton Mistric and Luke Mann; two special friends, Gerry Wedding and Kathy Ballew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Delaney; two beautiful daughters, Margie Delaney-Rutherford and Betty Delaney; grandson, Matthew Rutherford; and her parents, Thelma and Jeff Turner. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, in Conway with Reverend Justin Villines officiating. Burial will follow at the Cypress Valley Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Mann, Casey Williams, Doug Dover, Kevin Kelley, Andy Keeling, and Adam Keeling. Roger Kelley will be serving as honorary pallbearer.
