Ruth Bittle Bankhead

Ruth Bittle Bankhead, the daughter of Heber Rance Bittle and Milbrey Louise Riddle, was born in Heber Springs, Ark. on June 17, 1922. She passed away on Dec. 3, 2014 at the Southridge Rehabilitation Center in Heber Springs. She was 92 years old. She married Carl Bankhead on Aug. 7, 1941 and survived him when he died on Feb. 18, 2008. She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Lois Bittle Baker, Opie Bittle, Eloise Bittle Dampf and a son, Don Bankhead. She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Bankhead Borgstadt and Judy Bankhead. She also has numerous nieces and nephews who will all greatly miss her kindness, her sharp intellect, her sense of humor and her wonderful wit and graciousness. A graveside ceremony at Moore's Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Ark. will be held at a later date. The service will be announced in May or June.
